September 23, senior executives of Yizumi and another eight strong private companies in Foshan were invited to take part in a forum held by Guangzhou Daily to discuss the development of Foshan city and private businesses. Attendees also included municipal government officials and media organizations.
How to collect more high-quality resources for local development through integrating the city development and industry is currently a major concern for Foshan government, leading companies of the industry and the mainstream media. Organizer of the forum specially invited top executives from nine local leading companies to conduct an open discussion with representatives from the government and media.
As a leading business in local machine manufacturing, Yizumi has received a large number of honors including “Foshan Most Growable Small & Medium Size Company” in 2011 and 2012, “Foshan Star of Technical Innovation 2012” and “Shunde Award of Outstanding Quality 2012”.
During the forum, president of the Guangzhou Daily presented plaques named “Foshan Star of Company” to companies that attended the event. Liao Changqing, General Manager of Yizumi and participant of the forum, was glad to accept the prize and receive recognition of the government and media.
The forum covered four topics: difficulties in import and export, transformation of traditional industry, opportunities for companies because of urban upgrade and the industry-city-people integration. General Manager Liao Changqing shared Yizumi’s experience in business upgrade and developmental opportunities: Yizumi invested in constructing the second phase plant during the financial crisis in 2008, which laid a solid foundation for the leap forward; in 2011, Yizumi began the globalization strategy in the opportunity of purchasing intellectual property of HPM; in addition, Yizumi adhered to technical innovation and high quality as powerful backing, adopted “the best product” line and strengthened the technology to enhance the core competitiveness for long-term development.
General Manager Liao Changqing also suggested Mayor Liu Yuelun that in view of the grim economic situation, the municipal government should grant more favorable terms and support in tax and finance; the government should accelerate the pace of improving the planning of Wusha industrial park and changing the backward infrastructure around so as to better serve the businesses.
“I’ve been to Yizumi three times and your company, especially the garden-like environment and workshop management impress me a lot,” Mayor Liu Yuelun responded and he promised to recommend Yizumi’s products to more local enterprises. The mayor was also determined to provide a better environment for businesses by developing the “whole industry chain” policy: with the help of the government, local companies use competitive local products and get corresponding financial support so that these companies are closely linked together.
