Yizumi Hosts the Annual Party 2014

"Two-billion-goal”and “internationalization” became Yizumi’s hot words in 2013. How can Yizumi achieve a growth of one billion yuan in three years? How can Yizumi become international? Why Yizumi is confident?

On January 25, 2014, Yizumi held the annual party at Chimelong Hotel, Guangzhou with its suppliers and nearly 2000 staff members in attendance. Yizumi’s annual party is a grand celebration and sharing session that features Yizumi’s staff. The invitation card is sent to every Yi Ge, Yizumi’s employee, one week before the event.

It comes from a sense of pride
The invitation card of Yizumi Annual Party 2014 looked like a boarding pass and it said “Yizumi International Flight”, which indicated Yizumi’s confidence in developing into an international company. The theme of the party was “I’m Yi Ge”. “Yi Ge” is not only the synonym for Yizumi’s staff members who are practical, hardworking and enterprising and pursue excellence, but also an implication of generosity and innovation.

On the afternoon of January 25, Yizumi’s senior executives including Chairman Chen Jingcai, Executive Director Liang Jinghua and CEO Richard Yan warmly welcomed their colleagues at the entrance to the venue: shaking hands with Yi Ge, giving them presents and expressing appreciation for their efforts in the past year.

At the staff meeting held in the afternoon, awards were presented to Yi Ge who had worked at Yizumi for ten and five years. The prize they received represented Yizumi’s gratitude to their loyalty and contribution to Yizumi’s achievements.

Yizumi believes that employees, as long-term investment, are in the interest of a company’s sustainable development. Yizumi pays attention to the feeling of employees and respects their role in business operations: the actual masters of Yizumi who undertake responsibility together. The party theme “I’m Yi Ge” this year embodied Yizumi’s recognition of employees’ individual values and Yi Ge’s confidence and sense of pride.

Yizumi’s Promise
After the award presenting ceremony, Yizumi’s staff heard the annual report made by general manager of each division.

At the annual party last year, Yizumi CEO Richard Yan announced a surprising goal: achieving revenue of RMB two billion in three years. Though business performance of the first year was in line with expectations, Yizumi would face difficulties in the rest two years due to the weak market of global machinery manufacturing. The general managers presented their plans on how to fulfill that very ambitious goal on the site of the event.

In 2013, Yizumi had great changes that contributed to future development. As Yizumi’s production bases in Wusha and Wujiang were put to use, Yizumi now can get rid of the restriction of production capacity and shorten lead time. In addition, Yizumi made progress in technical research and development, which was in favor of the improvement of product lines. Yizumi’s confidence also came from its strategy of building the brand through high-quality products. Yizumi spent hundreds of millions of yuan buying cutting-edge testing equipment and established a standard quality testing center, which was a precedent for the molding machinery industry and facilitated manufacturing of high-quality products.

Yizumi’s international business also goes well. Brand operation of YIZUMI and HPM are successful and Yizumi’s technical service center in India has opened. Yizumi now is more concerned whether its agents can provide sufficient technical support and service for overseas customers; and whether the service is good enough as it will be focus of future competition. Since Yizumi has successful experience of overseas acquisition, it is believed that Yizumi will set up at least one overseas production base in the future.

The face-to-face interview
Coming up next was a face-to-face interview. Yizumi CEO Richard Yan asked the senior executives of each division questions about the goal of 2-billion-yuan revenue. These questions were not divulged to the interviewees until the interview began so that the audience could see their supervisors’ real response to these tough questions on site and feel the stress their supervisors suffering. The general managers of each division began to talk about their plans on future business development.

To cope with the competition with well-known European machine manufacturers, the Head of Yizumi Rubber Injection Machine Division said they had paid great efforts in key performance indicators of the products. They would build the brand image with high product quality, enhance management, increase the added value of product through innovation and expand the product lines if the market conditions permit. Now Yizumi’s rubber injection machines have reached a medium-to-high grade in the global market. Then CEO Richard Yan asked Liao Changqing, General Manager of Yizumi Injection Molding Machine Division, how his division achieves revenue of 1.2 billion yuan in 2015. Mr. Liao recognized his team’s contribution to a 30% business growth in 2013 and mentioned IPD. IPD, integrated project delivery, brings people and resources from different departments together to form a project group that is market and customer oriented and try to meet customer’s requirements. Each project is subject to quantitative assessment. IPD is a change in organization and power delegation from the management. General Managers of Die Casting Machine Division promised that their team would enhance the product quality, reduce the machine failure rate, strengthen technical innovation, increase the brand competitiveness, realize quick delivery of products and reduce the costs. In addition, Deputy Managing Director James Zhang said that his team would continue working hard on technology, product quality and service in global competition and improve efficiency and effectiveness of reaction.

Market Application: The Source of Innovation
Yizumi is dedicated to manufacturing high-quality products and focusing on customer’s needs. One of the highlights of the annual year 2014 was the presentation of new products including YL-AT550L rubber injection machine, HPM 2000T die casting machine and the all-electric injection molding machine. These machines had distinct features and they were market-oriented.

Afterwards, CEO Richard Yan made a speech themed “Market Application: The Source of Innovation”.

Yan pointed out that it was necessary to analyze and understand customer’s needs before product design, balance the efficiency, cost and quality and make sure over 20% of a new product is innovative. Yizumi Rubber Injection Machine Division was the first organization to adopt new method. They sent experienced designers to customer’s factory to investigate problems caused in the use of Yizumi rubber injection machines to facilitate making improvement and breakthrough.

Then the special award ceremony climaxed the staff meeting. CEO Richard Yan presented the Special President Award to the R&D team of Yizumi Rubber Injection Machine as their achievement was in line with “Market Application: The Source of Innovation”. The Special President Award is the top prize to honor the projects, teams and individuals that make prominent contributions to Yizumi.

The dinner started at 7 pm. Both Chairman Chen Jingcai and CEO Richard Yan made speeches for the event. Yizumi’s senior executives and all other staff members enjoyed a delicious meal and exciting performances together, sharing the exhilaration and celebrating accomplishments of last year.

As the slogan “We Walk Alongside The World” goes, Yizumi endeavors to facilitate Chinese machine technology keeping pace with the world. Yizumi’s outstanding business performance in 2013 was a good start of the three-year objective. Yizumi, like an international airline, is flying to success, high, steadily and fast in the spacious sky.
