A public notice posted on July 24 on www.sdet.gov.cn shows that 39 enterprises in Shunde, including Yizumi and Midea, are to get identified as key enterprises. 36 of these companies are from secondary industry. All the selected companies had main business income (sales revenues or output value) of at least 800 million RMB and paid local taxes of at least 20 million RMB in 2013.

According to the policy issued by Shunde government last year, the identified enterprises will be listed into government’s “strong company project”. From 2013 to 2020, Shunde government will cultivate a group of flagship large companies which are vigorous industry leaders through giving classified guidance, providing intensive support and implementing strategies driven by technology, capital, talents and market and other measures.
