Yizumi and its agent took part in India’s largest die casting exhibition—ALUCAST—that was held from 4-6 December 2014 in Bangalore.

Because of the large market capacity and the rapidly increasing purchase amount of motorcycles and cars, die casting industry that is closely related to the motorcycle and automotive parts is gradually growing. India has become one of the largest consumer markets that have drawn the attention of die casting machine manufacturers.
However, India's economy has slowed since 2011. Despite the slow economic rebound after India’s general election in May 2014, the development of the die-casting industry is still affected. The annual exhibition held by Alucast is one of the most influential die casting trade show in India, even in the world, but it has the smallest scale this year, with only one pavilion. Only half of the booths are booked, which suggests the industry is suffering difficult times.

In spite of the plunging demand, die casting machine suppliers remain keen on the Indian market. 12 die casting machine manufacturers participate in the Alucast show, indicating an increase in the number of exhibitors. Apart from Yizumi, die casting machine manufacturers that attend the trade show include Buhler and Frech; and the rest of them come from Japan, Taiwan and China. It is anticipated that there may be fiercer competition in Indian’s die casting machine market next year.

Despite the intense competition, Yizumi is widely popular and acknowledged by customers in India through years of hard work. Regardless of the gloomy market, Yizumi manages to recover from last year’s sluggish performance, with sales increasing fourfold this year. Yizumi also continues to top the list of Chinese die casting machine exports to India. Customs data show that Yizumi ranks top four in the industry in terms of the total die casting machine exports to India. Yizumi’s market share in northern India in particular is up to 30%, ranking top 2 in that area. As a regular exhibitor of Alucast show for years, Yizumi does not display any machine this year but still have a lot of new and old customers come to the booth for business discussion.
