Design Sketch of Yizumi A5 Injection Molding Machine
2015 will be a significant year for Yizumi as the Company is expected to be listed on ChiNext, to put three manufacturing bases into use and to launch three kinds of products. These will be milestones in the development process of Yizumi.
At Chinaplas 2015, Yizumi will launch brand-new A5 series universal servo injection molding machine, which aims to meet middle to high-end customers’ needs of upgrading their universal injection molding machines. The new product line is widely applicable, high-quality, stable and offering high performance at a competitive price. The introduction of IPD—integrated product development—accelerates the launch of A5 series while ensuring that the new product line can meet the needs of targeted customers.
Why is Yizumi to launch A5 series universal servo injection molding machine? What changes has the IPD mode brought to the development of A5 series?
Firstly, A5 series is a middle-high-end product line to meet the need of upgrading universal injection molding machines.
After making a lot research on the needs of injection molding machine industry, Yizumi finds that small-tonnage all-electric machines and large-tonnage two-platen machines are the future directions of the industry, but relevant transformation and upgrade will take time because the technology and price-performance ratio of all-electric machines and two-platen machines still have a way to go. Yizumi also finds that general-purpose servo injection molding machines will be in great demand in the long run and they are in an urgent need of upgrade.
With the application of more and more new materials, new technologies and new equipment, many of the existing general-purpose injection molding machines are unable to meet the needs of customers. For example, more automated equipment will be used with the increase in domestic labor costs, and therefore the injection molding machines are required to have more new and open software and hardware interfaces. The clamping unit is required to be larger to fit molds of different specifications; the plasticizing components are required to fit more kinds of resin; the technological parameters of controller should be easier to adjust; the power system should be stronger and energy-saving and the machine should have stable and reliable performance to handle full production. Therefore, there is a growing need of universal injection molding machines that are energy-saving, highly-efficient, stable in production and able to deal with different molding tasks.
Yizumi injection molding machines have been widely popular with customers because of the high quality, stability and high price-performance ratio. “Yizumi, your best choice of servo machine” suggests the good reputation that Yizumi have earned. To meet the customer need of upgrading universal injection molding machines, Yizumi set up a project of developing A5 series, a brand new middle-high-end product line with a wide application range, high quality, high stability and a high price-performance ratio.
Secondly, A5 series injection molding machine is based on IPD—integrated product development, which ensures that the product meets the customer needs.
IPD is a product development management approach that was first used by IBM Corporation in 1992. This method not only helped IBM shorten the timeline for new product’s release, but also reduced half of the costs of R&D while maintaining the development goal. Huawei Company introduced IPD mode in 1998 and led to a comprehensive reform of Huawei’s R&D process. Huawei also achieved continued rapid business growth through its R&D capacity. So far, IPD mode has been widely used in Emerson, Inovance and many high-tech companies home and abroad and played an important role. Yizumi was the first injection molding machine manufacturer that introduced IPD mode and hoped to bring major changes for research and development in traditional manufacturing industry.
A5 series universal servo injection molding machine is the first Yizumi-developed product based on IPD. On one hand, Yizumi has strong technical strength based on years of experience in servo injection molding machines and application cases, and therefore the Company is capable of launching a high-quality middle-high-end universal injection molding machine. On the other hand, Yizumi set up an A5 series development project team after introducing IPD mode in October 2013. The project team visited a large number of customers and conducted research based on customer needs, and the results were useful reference for the parameters, functions and configuration of A5 series. The project team in charge of development of A5 series is made up of staff members from different departments, including quality control, service, production and finance, which makes sure the new product line meets the needs of upgrading machines in technological parameter, function and maintainability and greatly shortens the development cycle.
Yizumi hopes that A5 series will be recognized by customers with the advantages of wide application range, high quality, high performance and competitive price, and become customers’ favorite universal injection molding machine.
