On Feb 2, Yizumi Trade Union, together with all caring citizens of Foshan, participated in a municipal charity walk with a theme of “Loving Foshan”. This event was jointly organized by Foshan Media Group, Inc., Foshan Charity Federation, government agencies and social charities, and met with generous response from numerous enterprises and citizens.

Coinciding with the Lantern Festival, this year’s charity walk integrated a local holiday custom—crossing the Tongji Bridge for good fortune. The walkers with the fortune windmills in hands held high the slogan banners and followed the route starting from the east gate of municipal government office, via the Tongji Bridge and ending Pulan 2nd Road, which drew the attention of many passersby and inspired the bystanders to join the walk to support philanthropy with actions.
Apart from the charity walk for raising money, there were other functions including foundation of Foshan Federation of Public Charities and launch of the 1st Foshan Charity Project Contest. Moreover, Yizumi Trade Union joined this new organization and would concern itself about charity events in Foshan, in the hope of making contributions to community philanthropy.
