On May 16, a large number of senior executives and R&D professionals of well-known die casting businesses took part in a great event of the industry—Technical Seminar on HPM Large-tonnage Die Casting Machines—in Yizumi that was the organizer of the event.
The guests attending Yizumi’s event totaled over 70 people including Former Head of Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology Mr. Xi Zhiwei, Secretary-general of Guangdong Foundry Industry Association Mr. Liu Zhiquan, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Hongtu Die Casting Co., Ltd. Mr. Huang Mingjun and Prof.Wu Chunmiao from South China University of Technology. They were warmly received by Yizumi’s top executives such as Chairman Chen Jingcai, CEO Richard Yan, General Manger of Die Casting Machine Division Li Yejun and President of HPM North America Corporation William Flickinger.
The one-day event started at 10:30 a.m. with a welcome speech made by Yizumi Chairman Chen Jingcai. He expressed the gratitude to the guests, customers and friends in the industry for their support and trust that contributed to Yizumi’s achievements. Then the guests visited the die casting machine workshop which was clean, orderly and where the staff was working intensively. Deputy General Manger of Yizumi Die Casting Machine Division (DCM Division) Li Qianhu told the guests that the market got better this year and Yizumi’s machines were in a great demand. Most of the machines in the workshop would be delivered to customers after commissioning. At the large-tonnage machine assembly site, the guests saw two HPM 2000T die casting machines and other Yizumi heavy-tonnage die casting machines under commissioning. Mr. Li indicated that the two HPM machines were ordered by a Canadian customer and Yizumi would sell HPM large-tonnage die casting machines in 2014 in China to meet the needs of domestic customers.
Next in the afternoon a technical exchange conference was held. Mr. William Flickinger, President of HPM North America Corporation, presented the current operation of HPM and features of HPM machines to all the visitors. According to the presenter, the brand new HPM large-tonnage die casting machines have the following features: strong steel platens and toggles made of cast steel, die height adjustment mechanism with a worm drive, low starting toque and high precision, steel rail with quenching treatment, large space for ejector, oil supply system using American lubricant, C-frame structure for the shot unit, convenient setting of injection parameters, independent control systems for clamping, core pulling and injection, electrical system that conforms to North American Safety Standards and has high level of protection, reasonable design and layout of oil tank, bypass filtration system and lubricant filtration system.
Taking the advantages of high product quality and positive brand image, Yizumi sells the new HPM machines to North America. HPM, a brand with a history of 136 years, is widely popular with customers in die casting industry worldwide, especially in North America. Now 12 people are working in HPM NA; 8 of them worked in former HPM; the staff’s average experience in die casting industry is 20 years. Yizumi inherits HPM’s high product quality and strong technical base.
Later, Yizumi CEO Richard Yan and Deputy General Manger of DCM Division Li Qianhu gave speeches, from which the guests knew more about the development course of HPM North America Corporation and Yizumi’s ambition of being a leading technical innovator in the world.
